Now equipment of offices of anesthesiology and resuscitation by monitors for observation of the vital functions of patients became a universal reality. Also the monitor systems, warning systems and registration of changes of the functional status of patients are improved.

In intensive care unit the standard system when near each patient the bedside monitor is installed and indications from it allows to carry out monitoring of several patients are read out by the doctor or the nurse. However, if the number of patients in resuscitation exceeds six, then much more convenient way of monitoring is use of bedside monitors together with the central station of monitoring which can be located in a staffroom or on the central post of office.

Thus, monitor data of all patients of office are flown down in one point of observation where the doctor can quickly monitor emergence of disturbances and take these or those measures of correction. Observation of the patient by means of his bedside monitor by the nurse or the doctor who are in chamber of the patient is in parallel carried out.

The monitor station can have a possibility of listing of these patients that can be useful in that case when there is a need to keep these data on paper for an insert in a case history, for example. The same data can be used when carrying out reports on patients at morning conferences.

Technically monitor station represents the system of bedside monitors which are located directly in chambers of resuscitation and an intensive care, network in which these monitors are united also the central station of monitoring which is most often located in a staffroom or the room for observation of patients. Also monitors of operating rooms can be connected to the central station of monitoring if in it there is a need. Connection of monitors to network is carried out usually through the relevant port on the ceiling or wall console.

As a rule, the central station of monitoring allows not only to watch indicators of vital functions of patients from the place of observation, also to carry out such actions as the choice of the displayed parameters, carrying out certain actions with the monitor like measurement of noninvasive arterial blood pressure, control of parameters of the ECG display and so on. It is very convenient as for carrying out similar actions to the doctor does not have need to go to chamber and they can be made from a staffroom or other room where there is the central station.

The choice of parameters, necessary for display, can be also made from the central station. The decision when for display such parameters as arterial blood pressure (noninvasive or invasive), a saturation of hemoglobin of an arterial blood oxygen, an ECG (one or two assignments), heart rate are chosen is considered standard. But if necessary these parameters can be changed as it is required for this or that patient. All settings can be configured individually, limits of indicators out of which at an exit the system will inform on it medical personnel by means of the visual and sound warning system also individually can be adjusted.

Besides, the system of the central monitoring allows to bring parameters of the interesting patient close up, to all monitor that facilitates tracking these or those indicators.

As a rule, the central station of monitoring has a possibility of maintaining archive and the database that allows to see these or those indicators through a certain period. It can be useful in case of need retrospective assessment of these or those events, for permission of disputable situations and so on.

Important point is also the possibility of fast training of personnel for management of monitoring of the station. In this plan advantages will be existence of the Russian-language interface and also clear operating system and software.
